My favourite festival英语作文
The Spring Festival is my favorite festival.It is on the first day of January on Chinese lunar calendar.On that day,we usually get together at my grandparents' home.We often have a big dinner with 10 courses.However,the whole chicken,whole duck and the pork leg are not touched any more .Obviously,times have changed.We just pick some delicious seafood.
After dinner,I go outside with my cousins.We light fireworks and firecrackers.The dark sky will become colorful.We shout and jump when we see the fireworks shooting into the sky and exploding into leaves and flowers,gold,red,green or purple.
Some of my cousins can hold the firecrackers in their hands and light them and then throw them up.The firecrackers crack up in the sky and make all of us laugh heartily.
We often play and play until midnight.At that time,all the kids light their fireworks and firecrackers at the same time.The whole sky will be lit up in a moment and happy noise will make whole neighborhood very high with excitement.
Now you can see why the Spring Festival is my favorite festival.I like it because of the food,the family gathering and the excitement.

China have a lot of festivals.My favourite festival is the spring festival.Because the spring festival is the beginning of a year.And the new year's Eve we can do our best to play.Do you like play? I think everybody likes play.We can give happy from the games.In the Eve,we can eat a reunion rice.Next day is the spring festival,we will don't eat meat and have a good day. Because a good beginning is the most important for a year.In this day,my family is very happy. So I like the spring festival.

Though it's always very cold outside,our house is never cold.All the family members get back home,and we have a big meal together.It is fun! I can play with my sisters and brothers. Sometimes it will snow ,so we can fight with snow balls and build a snowman.How interesting!

Chinese New Year is my favourite festival. It usually comes in January or February. It is the most important festival for us Chinese. Before the Chinese New Year, we are busy shopping and cleaning our houses. My parents always buy me some new clothes. On Chinese New Year's Eve, we have a big family dinner. We usually eat some traditional Chinese food. It tastes delicious. After dinner, we often watch New Year TV programmes till midnight. We also set off beautiful fireworks. I can get some red pockets with money in them from my parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts. I can buy what I want with the money.
We always have a good time at Chinese New Year.
过新年是我最喜欢的节日，一般是在一月或是二月到来。对于我们中国人来说新年是最重要的节日。在过年前，我们都要忙于购买年货和打扫我们的房间，我的爸爸妈妈经常会给我买一些新衣服。在除夕的那天晚上，我们都会有全家的聚餐，年夜饭。经常吃些中国的传统美食，非常好吃。晚饭过后，就开始看春节联欢晚会，一直到午夜，然后放鞭炮。我还能从爸爸妈妈，爷爷奶奶，叔叔和阿姨那里收到红包，我就能用这些钱买我想要的东西。
每年过年的时候我们都非常的高兴。
