2）因为that代替句中的某个词而作某个成分时，在that省略之后，句意不明确。
3）固定搭配，不能省。
例如：
The degree that water freezes is called freezing point, isn't it? （定从）
It is necessary that every one of you practices speaking English every day.(主从)
We have the conclusion that one can't learn anything without his own practice.（同位语从句）
My suggestion is that he should ring her up right away.(表从）
