The principal duty of the ILC is the organization of a World Biomaterials Congress once every four years.The International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering (IUSBSE) is a body that brings together national and multi-national groups dedicated to the advancement of biomaterials,surgical implants,prosthetics,artificial organs,tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.It currently includes members from Canada,the United States,the European Union,China,Japan,Korea,India,and Australia.The previous World Congresses and those in planning include:
Vienna (1980),Washington (1984),Kyoto (1988),Berlin (1992),Toronto (1996)Honolulu (2000),Sydney (2004),Amsterdam (2008),and will be held in China 2012,through development the attendant countries from 29 in 1988 to 52 in 2008,in 1988,only 5 Chinese attended it ,but in 2008,there are 230 Chinese attended it,This means China pay more attention to it.More and more Chinese people have been participated and will participate in
