More than half of the students in college have their own mobile phone. It is very convenient for them to contract with each other and show their feelings. But is it really good to have a mobile phone? I do not think so.
First, it is quite an expense to have a mobile phone for college students. As we know most of college students in China get money from their parents. Having a mobile phone means that they have to pay the expense for it every month and ask for much money from parents every month. It will bring more heavier burden for parents.
Second, it is quite a big influence on their study and rest time. Most of college students are fond of contracting with each other by sending messages which really waste time. They always lower their head and watch the mobile phone, pressing the buttom to send messages altough it is study and break time. When they send out a message, they wait for relying and they can not be absorbed in what they are doing. They always chat until deep night which makes a bad influence on the next day's classes. That is really terrile.
Third, many researches show that many diseases caused by using mobile phones. Mobile phone radiate something bad to people and influence people's healthy.
Accoroding to that ,I do not think mobile phone is good for college students. We should advise them to use the mobile phones correctly, even not use mobile phone. College students should pay much attention on their study and make use of time but not waste time on chatting uselessly.

My view on cell phones
Cell phones have become increasingly popular in China these days. Wherever you go you can see people using cell phones. Many college students, even high school students, have cell phones and no one makes much fuss about this phenomenon any more.
Cell phones have brought people a lot of benefits, but the most important is that they are convenient. With cell phones in their hands, they can keep in touch with anybody they want. It they want to get some information from the Internet, they can easily have their dream realized via cell phones too. Furthermore, if someone has a heart attack or a traffic accident, a call to emergency hospital or to the police can quickly bring him the help he wants.
However, cell phones can also bring people problems. The most serious is the electric wave radiation which is thought to be harmful to user’s brains. Another problem is that when people are having a meeting or a class or at a concert etc., the ring of the cell phone may interrupt others. So I think people should use cell phones as little as possible and turn them off on important occasions.
