第一题,首先though只有副词和连词两种词性,没有介词的词性；而although只能作连词.though可作副词,置于句末.这里的though应该是作连词,引导状语从句的省略形式——在状语从句中,如果从句主语和主句主语一致,从句含有助动词be时,则可以省掉主语和be动词.本句省去了they are.
另外,though和although两者意思相同（尽管,虽然）,通常可互换；although大多情况下放在句首,而though大多情况下都放在句中,前面有逗号.even though表示“即使”,且更强调对“既成事实”的让步.
第二题,be about to do sth.(或be on the point of doing sth.)这两个句型指的是眼下就要发生的动作,一般不再用具体将来将来时间的副词或副词性的短语做时间状语但是可以用as或when引导的时间状语从句.
be to do sth.表示预定要做的某事或命令（禁止）、职责、义务、要求,意思是“应该”.（有“注定”的意思）
PS:LZ以上都是我一点一点自己敲出来的,特意查了原来的书和课堂笔记,还有字典,也去网上搜了.建议LZ去仔细看一下though和although的区别（见http://zhidao.baidu.com/question/73792384.html?si=1）希望LZ能采纳啊~
