如果使用宾语从句,则此从句的引导词that的确可以省略,它在宾语从句不做任何成分.
2.此句采用了do you think做为插入语.该类插入语必须放在特殊疑问句的疑问词之后,然后要求其后的成分采用陈述句序,即为正常的主谓宾等顺序：疑问词 + 插入语(do you think) + 陈述句?

3.不是.该句要忠于原句的时态,即定语从句为：we lived there for 5 years.

第二种说法也是错误的.用一段时间做时间状语,句子并不一定要用完成时.
只有句子明确表明/暗示某个动作/状态截止到过去的某个时刻/现在为止,则才必须采用过去完成时/现在完成时.如果没有明确的表明/暗示,则不必如此.
比如该句就是如此：We lived there for 5 years.
该单句无法看出是截止到什么时候为止已经五年,只是强调过去的这个动作lived延续了五年,所以只须使用一般过去时即可.
