In the past phenomena such as shooting stars and other unexplained lights in the sky were identified as dragons,they were usually seen as ill omens.
One theory suggests that tales of dragons actually represent a belief in earth energy,especially when located to a specific area or landscape feature.An article by Richard Freeman from the Centre for Fortean Zoology explains another view of dragons.
